Reply markers and links in entourage 2004

In entourage X, when I would reply to an email, entourage would mark that
message as "replied to" on the imap server. Then it would also link the
reply to the original message (I assume this was handled locally within the
entourage database). However, entourage 2004 does not handle this function
for me. The header links now only state "You replied to this message on
XXXXXX."; it doesn't have the hyperlink for "view your reply."

It also is not displaying whether an email someone sent me is a reply to one
of my messages, nor having the link to view the original message I sent. Why
are these features apparently gone in 2004?

My version of Entourage 2004 does show links that say "Show reply" and "Show
forward". I am not sure why yours does not. When someone replies to my
message I see the entire message string. I do not get a link to the message
I sent however, though I never noticed that feature in X. Sorry I can't be
more helpful.

From Entourage 2004 help:

Turn automatic linking to contacts on or off
1. On the Entourage menu, click Preferences.
2. Under General Preferences, click Address Book.
3. Under Messages, select the options you want.

Sent using the Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac Test Drive.

I¹ve got the same problem. Has anybody figured out any resolution to this
problem? Is it an IMAP problem?
