The Basics:
G4 17² PB
Mac OS 10.4.2
Entourage for Mac 2004
The Issue:
When I reply to an email, the message I am replying to in my inbox states
"You replied to this message on [Date]". How can I get a link to my reply
to appear next to this note again?
You're not listing all you basics. You don't say whether your mail
account(s) is/are POP or IMAP.
For POP, you will always see that link (the reply message is in a local
folder On My Computer).
For IMAP, you will see that link only if the IMAP server has "UIDPLUS"
support (can find messages by ID on the server). Only the better IMAP
servers have this support. (For example, my university's servers do, but
..Mac servers don't.) To check, control-click (right-click_ on the IMAP
server's icon in the Folders list, and select Get Info. If the message
window text that comes up contains the word UIDPLUS, it does; if not, it
doesn't. I suspect yours doesn't.
