Hello,
Recently added two new Dell computers which have Office 2003/XP Pro to a LAN
of existing Win2K/XP Pro/Office 2002 machines using MS Mail. Using Outlook
2003 on new XP Pro machine, I can't open a task request sent to either
computer or send a task request from either computer. All other email items
seem to work fine. Here's what happens:
*) If a task request is received from OL2002 and you try to open it reads:
"Can't open this item."
*) If you try to delete a task request it reads: "The operation failed. An
object could not be found."
*) If you try to create a task request then screen will show up and you can
enter data but as soon as you hit send it will read: "The operation failed.
An object could not be found."
I tried deleting the FRMCACHE.DAT file from the users local settings; OL2003
recreated it but the same problem existed. I tried a different user
account - same result. I then try to do a detect and repair installation of
Office 2003 and the problem is still there.
Is this a problem with OL2003 and/or does someone know of a possible fix?
TIA!
