request read receipt button on messages

I need a button on the tool bar of new messages that lets a user request a
read receipt. I guess i need to write some vba code that is called from a
user defined button but I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone help?

I'm getting the idea of how this is done but it seems that the button can
only be placed on the outlook tool bar and not on the tool bar of the
message itself. Am I wrong about this? it would be nice if the button could
go on the new message's tool bar. Maybe that's not possible?
