Requesting data from the serve

Hello friends:

Some of the Outlook XP sp3 users are getting frustrated with the pop up
window that says "Requesting data from the Exchange server" this happens
quite often, like when someone is trying to schedule a meeting, is there a
fix for this. We are currently using Microsoft Exchange 5.5 sp4 in the back.

Thanks.

If there are no other outward indications of problems, you can suppress that
popup either individually on the client machines, or en masse via the
following:

293650 OL2002: Changing the Outlook "Cancel Request" Dialog Box Behavior

Good luck,

Reduce the latency in your network.

I believe this was changed so that users would know Outlook was trying
to do something, instead of just staring at a spinning hourglass
wondering if anything is happening. I would look to a network
bottleneck as the cause of the problem - the only times I've seen it
are when there are network issues.

Best of luck!

Just uncheck the options under Tools --> Options ---> Calendar Options
---> Planner Options ---> (Now uncheck everything). This will reduce a
lot of traffic on your network.......
