Required to fill info before accessing download

I'm not sure which group I should post this so I also posted this on
microsoft.public.frontpage, sorry if either are incorrect.
I have a web page that people can download a demo of a programme,the
site was made with FP 2000.It is my first attempt and is way past due
for an update,I'm also about to start on another site,unrelated to the
first.There are a couple of things I want to add and haven't figured
out how to do it.
First, I want to add a section on the download page that requires
people to fill in some contact info before they can access the
download.I'm trying to sell something and would like to follow up.
Second, on the new site I'm staring,offering compleatly different
software, I'd like to also have and animation or short movie of the
programme giving the viewer an Idea of what the programme can do.
Can anybody point me toward books or references that can show me how
to accomplish this.

Steve,

For the contact info, I would use an FP form and send the
results to a custom script page. The script page could then
be configured to store the info in a database and/or send
you an email. At the end of the page you insert a redirect
to the downloads link.

For the video of the application, you can use Windows Media
Encoder to create a WMV file of the program in use. You
would set that up to do a screen capture for the video, and
you could capture audio from whatever source, an external
microphone for example to speak the steps you are taking.

There is also a Windows Media Player addin for FP which you
can place on a webpage and set that up to play your file

presentation calls for interactivity.
