Reserved folder names in image tags????

R

Ray

I have tried to place images in a subfolder
called "banners" using an image tag like <img
src=images/banners/picture.jpg> but the image will not
pull from ther. Nor will it if I change the folder name
to banner. But if I change it to banne or any shorter
version of the word it will. I have never heard or read
of there being "reserved" folder names but this appears to
be one.

Can anyone confirm this? And are there any more of them?

Any help appreciated.

FrontPage does have folders with special purposes, (examples: _borders,
_derived, _private, _vti_cnf) however banners is not one of them.
Some firewall/security programs, such as Norton Internet Security (and I am
not saying this is the culprit) do bar folders and files named banner.* from
being viewed or used by a web browser.
