Restore address book only

While syncing my Treo 650 with Entourage the Treo crashed and I only have
652 contacts out of my original 1500 + contacts in my Entourage database. I
made a backup of my database 3 days ago, however I have had many emails
since the back up. I have not made any changes to the address book or
calendar.

How can I restore just the address book without overwriting the email data?

Save your current database, and load up the backup (if you create a second
identity folder in ~/Document/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/
and copy the backup into it, you can switch between one and the other using
the 'change identities' command under the Entourage menu).

Now, export all the contacts (drag then to a folder in the Finder if you are
still using Entourage vX)

Switch back to your main identity, delete all contacts and import the ones
you just saved.
