restore addressbook entourage

installed new version of entourage (2004) en removed older version.
Forgot to save all my addresses etc. Is it possible to restore the
addressbook. I removed entourage and other office components with the
removeprogram, which thrashed all. So everything is still in the
trashcan.

Your data is saved in your Documents folder under Microsoft User Data >
Office 2004 Identities. I'm not sure if the Remove Office program trashes
this as well (I don't think it does), but you can restore it by putting it
back in that location.

If the Microsoft User Data is still where it belongs, you may just need to
launch Entourage and choose "Switch Identities" from the Entourage menu to
switch back to your data.

If the data is in an Entourage X Identity then it will need to be imported
into Entourage 2004. I would create a new Identity in Entourage and select
to import the old Entourage X Identity. After the import you can Export your
contacts as a tab delimited file or as an Entourage archive file.

The reason for using a new Identity is not to duplicate any messages or
data.
