Restore Entourage Front Recovered Files?

First: Did some searching, and didn't find what I needed -- sorry if
this rehashes old stuff, but at least I tried!

The spouse's PowerBook G4 867 crashed and burned last month (I believe
she finally has caught on to the need for regular back-ups, but after
25 years, I know enough to know that I ain't gonna say a word :) ).

Anyway, I have replaced the hard drive, reinstalled OSX 10.4, and the
MS Office suite, so the G4 is back up.

Separately, I took the old hard drive to a Mac repair place, and it
turned out that most of the files were still intact, and I now have a
DVD with 4.3 GB of "stuff" on it (in hindsight, I'm pretty sure a
Trojan took her out, but fortunately, most files were unmolested -- as
an aside, I know/will be careful extracting data off the DVD, lest I
reactivate the virus).

So the question is: Is there any way to restore her old e-mail and
contacts from the files lifted off the old drive? For example, can I
simply copy a "set" of old files to a specific directory on the new
drive and get Entourage to recognize/access the files?

Alternatively, she has a Dell laptop running Vista and Outlook 2007 --
any way to take the recoverd Entourage files and get Outlook to import
the messages and contacts?

Thanks for any suggestions!

You can move the Identity over, but will need to rename it so it doesn't
overwrite the current Identity.

Move/Transfer from Another Computer:

Now the problem of merging the two Identities.... Entourage does not import
from the same version. There are a couple of options:

1. Export as an .rge (Entourage archive) and import.

2. Export as mbox files for messages and export as tab delimited file for
contacts.

More info on these two methods can be found here.
