Retain HTML Formatting for Emails in a a merge

When seeting up a mail merge form outlook contacts back back to outlook
emails, how do you retasin the exact HTML formatting - fonts, hypwerlinks,
font colors in the original document.

The Word document looks perfect, the email is one color font, all spaced as
plain text, with no hyperlinks

This is in OFFICE 2000
