retrieve deleted emails/recover database?

We recently had an employee who was let go from our company for a
variety of reasons. His emails were deleted (trash emptied) and his
ibook was given to his replacement. We have just discovered that this
employee had been using his entourage email account to send out
malicious emails. We are
now facing potential legal issues and must find a way to recover his
deleted emails. Is there way to recover these deleted emails from the
entourage database (in the MUD)? If so, will this affect the emails of
the person who is currently using his machine??? Any help or
recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

The current user's email is being written over the data you want to
retrieve. Make a backup copy of the Microsoft User Data folder you want to
salvage.

To find the deleted messages, you can open the messages file in BBEdit or
other text editor. Finding the bits and pieces of these messages will be a
time consuming and most likely an unrewarding task.

Thanks! Although it's not really the answer I was hoping for... as it
sounds incredibly time consuming. Is there a way to maybe take that
database file and plug it into another computer running entourage and
have those emails come up??? I will still try your solution as it's the
best thing I've found so far.
