Return Receipt

Is there any way to request a return receipt in Entourage. I've been told to
add "Disposition-Notification-To: and/or Return-Receipt-To:" but neither
are working. The header shows these fields and they are also populated
with my email address but no message is sent. Any ideas???

Return receipts are not particularly reliable over the Internet. If your
recipients' servers and/or email clients do not support them, you will not
get a receipt.

Note especially the bit that says "Note that this will only request a return
receipt. While some clients can and will carry out the request, others will
prompt the user and they can choose not to send it back, and still other
clients like Entourage ignore the request completely, so it should not be
assumed that no receipt means a recipient didn¹t receive the message."

Sounds like you're doing it right. Unfortunately, because of uneven
adherence to certain standards, return receipts do not work on an all e-mail
servers. When that is the case, no matter what headers you supply, no return
receipt will be sent.
