Is there any way to have a ³Sender requests acknowledgment of receipt²
incorporated into a sent email? Some programs allow you to click a button,
say ³RR², and a header with a ³send² button will appear on the receiver¹s
end. Once clicked the sender receives an email stating the time the email
was viewed.

Thanks, as usual.

See this blog post on how to set this up (and why it is not always the good
idea it sounds):

Thanks, Barry, but this method is hardly worth the trouble for RR's or DNR
(a dangerous abbreviation for the computer world!) that are sent out only
occasionally.

At the risk of harping on a subject I've mentioned in other postings, Eudora
has a simple method I described in my original email. Entourage for the Mac,
it seems to me, still has quite a way to go before it matches the better
intuitive programs such as Eudora.

I do appreciate both the answer and the link to your blog.

Really, it's not a problem - once you have the alternate account set up,
then to send a mail with a DNR request, just choose to send it from the
alternate account - it's that simple.
