Returning from Vacation

I would love a solution, but I will settle for confirmation:

It is vacation season (for everyone but me, 3 years running), and
have a new bug to report.

When my tanned and happy users return to the drudgery of work, the
find their Entourage database is empty and must fully synchronize wit
the Exchange server. This is a triffle problematic, as many of thes
users are approaching 2GB of mail on the server. In some cases
especially when more than one person is returning from vacation, thi
could make Entourage unusable for as long as a day and a half, forcin
the users to not only use OWA, but complain profusely.

This has happened on 5 different occasions thus far, to 8 differen
people. Their vacations were 2 weeks (give or take)

Anyone else seen this

I¹m not aware of a vacation absence causing a problem like this. Normally
when Entourage shows as empty it¹s because the Microsoft User Data folder
has been moved so Entourage creates a new empty database. Is there some kind
of ³clean up² on their systems while they are away?

No cleanup or anything. It's too consistent to be a full fledged "bug
or anything like that.

wierd, huh

I would check around on one of those computers to see if the Entourage
database has, for some reason, been moved or renamed during their
absence (or, horrors, deleted). As Diane says, that is about the only
thing that causes Entourage to open a blank new identity.
