Review Deleted Events

I deleted some calendar events that I would like to look at again. I
swear I thought I could do that in the past, but can't find it now.
Even when I search, it asks if I want to search deleted events, so they
must be there somewhere, right?

Sorry, but events, notes, tasks and contacts are no longer available when
deleted. Only mail goes into a 'trash' bin from which it can be recovered
(until the trash is emptied).
