RPC over HTTP?

Entourage does not support RPC over HTTP; boy do I wish it did:)

RPC over HTTP in terms of Outlook Exchange is where Outlook wraps MAPI
calls in http requests over port 80 in order to bypass a firewall and
alleviate the need for a VPN while using the full version of Outlook
(I.e. Not OWA).

Entourage communicates with the Exchange server via webDAV which is the
method that OWA uses. Put another way, RPC over HTTP is NOT the same
as webDAV.

True. RPC over HTTP is meant for Outlook for Windows.

To expand this a little further, it is possible, as Sean has said to
connect Entourage via WebDAV, which is also used for Outlook Web Access
(OWA).

Many companies enable OWA for employees to access their Exchange email
via a web browser but I've been using Entourage pretty successfully to
connect to my work email. In my Entourage settings I put in the web
address that I'd normally type into my browser and my mail, contacts and
calendar items are synchronized.

The only downside I have is that our LDAP server is not shared where I
can connect to it over the Internet. This means I can't look up
addresses in the company address book. But I still have the ability to
reply to any message and send to anyone in my contacts lists.
