Rule for Rejecting Messages with .exe attachments

Richard Kriss

I could use some help creating a rule to delete anything that comes in with
a .exe attachment.

The MS Security Patch things (1000++ messages) are killing me. The
Entourage X Junk mail filter catches 99% and puts them in the Junk Mail
folder. This is good!

I would love a rule the will reject anything with a .exe file attached. By
reject I mean do not accept the file.

Can Entourage X handle such a rule?

Unfortunately, in order for the rule to run, you must download the message!

It is easy then to say 'if attachment name contains ".exe" then delete
message, but you will still have had to download the message in order to
delete it.

Barry is right - I finally had to login to my ISP using their Webmail
and delete the obvious stuff from the server.
