Rule question

I see how to create a rule that flags messages from those in my contact
list, as well as forward those messages to another folder, but what I
seek is the opposite of that. Is it possible to forward all mail that
is not from anyone in my contact list to another folder, preferably the
junk mail folder? Sorry if this question has been asked before.
Thanks.

You don't say what version of Outlook you have. In 2000 there is no easy way to
do that. There may be in later versions. But it could be done with a macro.
You'd need a rule to set a category or flag, then a macro you could run at the
click of a toolbar button to scan your inbox, find all items without the
specified category or flag, and then perform an action such as delete or move
those items.

There is no Outlook macro recorder, so you'd need either some knowledge of VBA
or someone knowledgeable and kind to do the writing for you.
