Hi,
I am trying to create a rule that will delete messages with specific
attachments. With all the viruses that are going around, it is annoying to
have these messages appear in my inbox, and since the subjects & senders
change, I need to figure out how to delete them using either attachments or
words in the message body. When I go to rules, there are no criteria that
matches either of those fields.

Can anyone offer advice?

Thanks
Jamie

Nonsense. Rules allow you to specify "Attachment Name contains' (and about
15other filters for attachment name) and also "message boy contains" and
about 15 other filters for Message body. And Actions include "Delete".
You're not really looking at it.

It¹s not nonsense. If I go to make a rule in POP mail, I can make one for
attachments and message body, but when I go to make one for my IMAP account,
I cannot.

Oh. You didn't say IMAP. Yes, that's correct. Entourage can't see the
message body or attachments of messages on the server - they're encoded.
Only the headers. Only when the messages are downloaded to your cache
locally can it see them. And by that time it's too late for a rule to
operate.
