I would like to set-up a simple rule, so that messages sent through
different email accounts are automatically filed in different folders. I can
set-up a rule to check messages after they are sent, and move a copy to a
different folder, but the messages also remain in Sent Items. I need to have
the rule simply move the messages from Sent Items into another folder rather
than copy it.
I am using OL2003. I have a vague recollection from many years ago (probably
OL97 or earlier) that there used to be an option where you could apply a
rule to a folder, but I can't find this option now. For example, rather than
having a rule than runs after sending, could I have a rule that runs when a
message arrives in the Sent Items folder?
If necessary, I would be willing to do a little VBA programming to achieve
this, but it seems to be the sort of thing that you ought to be able to do
without resorting to programming. If it does require VBA, a few hints, or an
example for reference would be most appreciated.
