Rule to set account for outbound email?

B

Bill Weylock

Hi.

I just joined a (choke) mailing list, which I do not like to do. It¹s the
only way I can get support on a program I just bought.

I set up an account for the list so any bot that pics it up will be
contained somewhat ([email protected]), and I would like to use it for
messages to the list the way I use this nospam address for the newsgroups.

I can¹t find any way to make it happen.

Replies are fine. But original messages, in my dreams, should revert to the
list account when I send to that address.

Workaround? Impossible (as I am guessing)?

Thanks!

Best,

- Bill

Get my script mailing List Account X at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

and follow the instructions in the ReadMe.

Try Paul Berkowitz¹s Other Account X to solve this problem. It is a script
that you place in a schedule to run frequently (like every minute). If it
detects you are working on an e-mail to a destination that is in a
pre-defined account, it changes the From e-mail address to one you
designate. Keep in mind that you have to have the e-mail open for at least
the length of the repeat time in the schedule (e.g. 1 minute) for this to
work.
