Rules/alerts problem

I've made a rule for Outlook 2003 to play 'ringin.wav' when a certain
message (that meets a certain criteria) arrives. But it doesn't work. I get
the default notice sound. What have I overlooked? Thanks.

I went to 'Options/Email Options/Advanced Email Options' and unchecked 'Play
a sound when mail arrives.' The 'ringin.wav' now works correctly. I guess
the 'Play a sound when mail arrives' option overrides any rules/alert sound
option.
