Rules for hotmail

I use Entourage to access my hotmail.com account. Since I signed up to some
forums I want the notification e-mail to go straight into a local personal
folder. Here is what I get:

- I can't find a way to automatically move the new incoming messages into
the folder. I must do it manually.
- After applying the rule the messages get moved, but they go into the
deleted folder of hotmail as well. I would like them to be deleted for good.

Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks.

Ciao,
Michele

Ciao,

this sort of behaviour is inherent in hotmail type accounts. he mail is
'moved' by 'copying it' then deleting the original.

I expect it could be possible to write an applescript to accomplish the
copy then 'nuke' the original message. Such a script could be run as the
action to the current rule, but I don't have a hotmail account to test
this with.

All right thanks. Any idea about having the rules applied when receiving the
message? I can't believe I could not find it. Actually it works if instead
of a rule I make a mailing list. But I am pretty much sure that it is what
causes the DB corruptions I get.
