How to set rules to do "only" & "except"? eg.
I want to filter out mails send to my domain (eg *@hotmail.com) only.
I also want to filter mails that send to others except certain domain (eg
*@hotmail.com).

What version of Outlook?
What, precisely, is it that you want to do? 'filter out' means so many
different things..

Outlook 2007, it does apply to Outlook 2003 as well. You can set rules in
Outlook to have mails sent to certain people or distribution to be moved to
certain folder, but I want something exclusive. e.g. the following rule:

When mails arrive
check whether it is sent to people in *@abc.com
move to "abc" folder

When a mail send to people both in "abc.com" and "xyz.com", the above rule
still apply. But what I want is "ONLY" send to people in "abc.com", then move
it to "abc" folder.

So.

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with abc.com in the recipient's address
move it to the blah folder

Thanks for your reply F.H. But it is not what I want. I want mails sent only
to people in abc.com to be moved. Those mails which sent to multiple domains
will also fulfil the above rule because they do contain abc.com (but also
others like xyz.com).

So, what you want is:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with abc.com in the recipient's address,
UNLESS there are additional recipient's included
move it to the blah folder,

I kind of suspect you'll have to resort to some kind
of vba, and have the rule call that.
