Rules will not forward to external SMTP email.

Hi,

Since migrating to exchange 2003, we have found that we cannot use the
outlook rules wizard to forward emails to an external address.

The rule works fine if you forward mail to another mailbox internally, but
if you select one of your contacts or type an external smtp address in
directly, nothing ever leaves the exchange server.

This is with Outlook 2000 SP3

any ideas?

I don't know E2003 yet (sigh) but in E2k you just need to enable autoforward
to the Internet in Exchange System Manager.
