Hi there.

I have set up rules to put particular types of emails in categories. One client of mine has a name that is also a common ending for words in English. Therefore, I frequently get emails from colleagues using an unrelated word but ending with this clients' name and these emails all end up in the wrong category. I've tried tricks like put quote marks and also spaces but it doesn't seem to help. Any solution?

You don't need to use rules to categorize messages from your senders.

In the Address Book, select the contact record for that person and
assign it the category appropriate for that user under Edit menu -->
Categories.

Then in Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General Preferences -->
Address Book, make sure "Automatically match categories to senders'
categories".

Hope this helps!
