Same email message being sent multiple times

Hello

I've had a problem recently with my Entourage for Mac program sending the same email to a recipient multiple times. It happens mostly when sending an image attachment. I've checked with the server, and it's not an issue on their end

Anybody else had this problem, and do you have any fixes

Do you actually see multiple copies of this message in your Sent Items
folder? If no, it's not Entourage having the problem.

The problem is most likely with one of the two SMTP servers involved
in the transaction -- either yours or your recipient's. That it's
happening with an image suggests the connection to the server is
timing out after the message has been transmitted but before the
server can say "OK, I've got it." Without that confirmation, there's
another attempt.

You can figure out where the problem is by looking at the last two
Received headers on the email as your recipient receives it on several
of the messages. Compare the times that the message was transmitted
between each server. If you see a difference in the times while the
message is still banging around your ISP's servers, the problem is
there. Likewise, if the difference is in the recipient's servers, the
problem is there.
