SaveAs alternative

hello!

i'm currently developing a software solution which is able to import emails
from outlook and save them to any place on the user's harddisk. this all
works fine with the SaveAs method.

my problem is, that when i try to use the SaveAs method on an encrypted
email, it doesn't work. the mails are encrypted with CryptoEx. i know, that
outlook doesn't provide any methods to work with encryption.

when dragging&dropping the mailitem from outlook directly to explorer, a
..msg file is created, which is almost encrypted. so i think, it must be
possible to realize with .NET, too.

the interesting point is, that when i create an object reference on the
encrypted mail, the decryption method starts. when i don't create a
mailitem-reference, but just try to use the SaveAs method on the typeless
reference, the procedure just quits. i know, that there must be some error,
because this quitting happened to me more often when there were errors with
external interfaces, like outlook's interoperability.

is there any possibility to save emails without accessing their content, so
that the decryption method can be avoided, as it seems to be realized in
windows-explorer?

thanks for your help in adance,
josef dabernig
