saved files shows wrong time

my computer shows the correct time and date (lower right hand tray), but when
I save a file the time displayed (date motified) is incorrect. I just saved
a file at 5/16/ 07 11:59 AM but the saved time for the file shows it to be
saved at 5/16/07 7:04 PM. Could you please show me where I need to go to fix
this error?

Check the Time Zone is correct....

I still need help.. my time zone is accurate, and besides the time displayed
is off by 7 hours and 5 minutes, so a time zone error would not cause this
problem.
