saving contacts to reuse after a reformat

I need to reformat my hard drive. I'm using Win 98 SE and
Outlook 2000. I need to save my contacts, burn them to a
cd, and then put them back into Outlook after the
reformat and reinstalation.

I tried to export the contacts last time and when I
imported them, I lost data. I think I had all the names,
but a lot, if not all, of the email addresses weren't
there. I'm not sure if I exported the address book only
or not. I just want to make sure than when I put them
back into Outlook that I will have all the data.

Your help is appreciated.

Stop exporting and importing. You'll lose data.
Simply save and reuse your Outlook Data File.
The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
