Saving Email Drafts

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: imap

I'm drafting an email... I save it, it closes and re-opens. Ok, fine. However, when I hit 'cmd+w' to close it (or click the 'x') it does the same thing. Is there a way I can get this to STOP. I liked the old Entourage where I could save it / close it and it saved and CLOSED. Same thing happens when I 'cmd+q' and there's a draft open. Therefore, my program doesn't quit.

Help is much appreciated!

That's certainly not normal behavior for Entourage 2008.

As a test, select Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... and create a new
identity.

Don't both to set up an account. Close the Setup Assistant.

Create a new message and see if the problem persists. If not, then your
old identity may have some corruption. Try starting Entourage with the
Option key held down to rebuild your Entourage Database.
