Friends often send me pps via email that contain interesting pictures I
would like to keep for screen savers etc. Can you tell me if I can save
individual pictures from a pps show?

Thank you.

If you have the full version of PowerPoint (not just the Viewer), you can
start up PowerPoint and then open the PPS by choosing Open from the File
menu. At that point it will behave just like a PPT file. If you just have
the viewer, you do a screen capture (hit the Print Screen key on your
keyboard) and paste the picture of the screen into your favorite picture
editing software.
