Saving messages

Hi,

I have a message that I send to a number of people each month. It is the
same message, with just a few minor changes (dates etc). While I am
composing it, I keep it in my drafts folder.

The problem is, after I have sent it I tried to drag the old message from
the sent folder back into the drafts with the intent to make a few minor
changes to the message ready for sending the following month. Entourage does
not seem to like this and won't let me edit the old message.

What is the simplest solution, could I create a 'template' that is still
editable? Or do I have to cut and paste text and create a whole new message
each time?

One thing that you could try is to make that message a
"Signature". That could be considered a template. Create the new
message, insert the "signature", make your changes and you are on your
way.

You could just copy the text from the old message to the new one. A
possibility would be to copy the message to the Drafts folder and run a
script to change the message type to a draft, but I'm not sure how such a
scirpt would be written.
