Saving to a DVD

Pure Imagination

On my home computer I have Power Point 2003. I am doing a project for
school, where they only have XP. Can I save my presentation to a DVD and
play it in a normal DVD player? Or is there some other way to show my 2003
presentation (with all animations correct) on a computer that only has XP?

A DVD player is not really a computer, so don't expect it to run a PPT show.
If you have a computer at school to run it on, try downloading the FREE PPT
Viewer
onto a CD with the file, or even at school if they have internet. It could
take 3-5 minutes to set this up before class, but I'd also check if the
viewer runs your file as expected. It doesn't do a few things, such as VB.

If the school's computer has PowerPoint XP, your presentation should works
fine. All animations in 2003 are available in XP.
You do not need to download the viewer. You can trial run your presentation
on the school's computer to ensure that everything runs fine.

In addition, you can play your presentation on a DVD player by converting it
into video format. (You can use programs such as CamTasia to do so), then
burn it into DVD. There are several tutorials here:
