My roommate brought home a PowerPoint DVD and could not get it to play
because of Norton Anti Virus warnings about malicious code.
I googled for about an hour (I have never used PowerPoint) and found that
the DVD could be run from the .htm file on the DVD.
All went OK, until PC shutdown. Got a popup that there was no disk in the
DVD drive cancel, retry. After clicking on cancel shutdown went OK.
The only time I get this notice is if I have used some software to either
play a DVD or write some files to the drive.
After the first use of Nero and shutting the software down, the next time I
use Nero the DVD drive no longer shows up in Nero. Just my CD drive until
after a reboot.
Somewhere in my google search I thought I read something about a file put on
the PC C:\ drive that could cause some errors, but I can not find the post
are any new files on the PC.
Thanks for any help. This seems like it would be easy to solve before going
to a system restore etc.
Thanks
Bob
