Greetings.

Can anyone please help me on this?

I'm trying to make a schedule wherein there are tasks that recurring for
example:
Activity A: 7:00 am to 8:30 am every Monday and Wednesday for 5 months in
Room 101
Activity B: 8:30 am to 9:00 am every Monday and Wednesday for 4 months in
Room 101
Activity C: 7:00 am to 8:30 am every Monday and Wednesday for 4 months in
Room 102
etc.

Thanks! :)

Use the Recurring Task entry in the Insert menu.

Make sure the Project calendar has the workday day starting at 7am or
earlier. Enter TaskA as weekly on Mon & Wed, duration 30 min, starting on
the first Monday you want it to occur at 730am and continuing for however
many weeks you need it or to a cutoff date. Do the same for the other two
tasks with their own starting dates and times. The room is irrelevant to
Project.

Hi

and further to Steve's excellent comments - you could put the room in as a
resource (and assign it to the tasks) to ensure that you haven't double
booked them.

Hello
Is there any way to make MS Project detect the double booking?

Thank you.

Hi

if you assign to meetings to the same resource, whether it be a room or a
person, then it will show in red in the resource sheet (known as
"overallocated") to see why a resource is overallocated you can use the
resource allocation view.

However, Project won't WARN you that you're trying to overallocate a
resource in the assignment stage.

Hope this helps
