Screen fonts are too small

Not a huge problem, but fonts on my PowerBook G4 (OS10.2.8) screen
appear several point sizes smaller than actuak size. 10 point looks
about 5 or 8 point. Is there any way of correcting this?

What are you comparing actual size to? Printed? Windows?
The Mac display resolution is 72dpi. Windows uses 96dpi. Thus, fonts
appear smaller on Mac.

Same problem here (15-in pb g4), and that's comparing them to the display on
my last Mac. I think it's a question of screen resolution, I went from
1042x768 to 1280x854, and have had to scale up my display fonts. Not very
happy about it. You could try changing the resolution (System Prefs,
Displays) but everything else looks bad on my screen.

I'm comparing (say) helvetica 10pt in Entourage (v.small) to Helvetica
10 pt in Word and other apps all of which are a) the same and b) closer
to the real printed size.
