ScreenTips

This sounds so simple but when I 'hover' over the indentation marks on the
ruler (I have Word 2002) the screen tips do not show which is which. I use
Word 2000 in a current class I'm taking and they work fine. I turned them on
under Properties - Appearance - Advanced - Item = tooltip on my PC
and...nothing. I have Classic Start setting and in Word under Tool -
Options - View I have ScreenTip box selected, but still no ScreenTip
display. What am I missing here?

The tip would only show Tab mark, but the actual tab mark on the ruler
signifies a) its indent and b) its alignment. What else are you after
here?

Hello Steve,
When I hover my mouse over the margin, hanging indent, margin tips on
the ruler, it does not say what these are as it does in our classroom
(Word 2000). I selected <options and screen tips on> but they still do
not show up. I also tried changing the mouse pointer from Control Panel
properties as was suggested elsewhere as a fix but still nothing...not
a big deal, but curious. My instructor thinks I'm doing something
wrong, but what else is there?
