Script to modify phone number format

Does anyone know of a script that will examine all my contacts, and modify
all phone numbers, be they work, mobile, fax, pager to a specific format,
where there is a "+" at the beginning of the number, followed my the area
code, and then the 7-digit phone number, i.e. +1-AAA-BBB-CCCC? Of course,
not touching those with the right format.

Thank you.

Check out this script:

When you input telephone numbers into a contact record, Microsoft Entourage
will not automatically format the number even though you have selected that
option in Preferences, unless you enter exactly seven or ten digits with no
other characters. This is deliberate, to allow the entry of numbers in
formats other than your default format, such as numbers for other countries.
It is annoying, however, because telephone numbers that are copied from mail
messages or even simply mistyped the first time they are entered cannot be
reformatted, except manually. This script meets the need for automated
reformatting on demand.

Thanks, but it's not working unfortunately.

514-555-0000 remains 514-555-0000 instead of being +1-514-555-0000

+1-514-555-0000 changes to 15145550000 instead of remaining the same!

And changes affects home phone numbers only.

Hopefully, some of the scripters will chime in. I also suggest asking on the
Entourage talk list. There are many users there that never contribute on the
newsgroup that are knowledgeable scripters.
