Script to run rules

I am wondering if it is possible to have a script select all of the read
messages in a folder and then execute a rule? (or all rules)

I want to schedule this to happen daily, to back up files on the server that
will be deleted if not moved.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No. Rules aren't scriptable. Most rules can be replaced by a script,
however.
