Hey there,

I just wanted to know if someone could point me to some how to's on
scripts. I dl'd a script that I now want to use. I've never added a
script to an email thus having no idea what to do. Thanks you for your

It sounds like you don't want to learn to write scripts, just to use them in
Entourage. It's very easy - you usually just have to put them into the right
folder. Check the Help in Entourage - AppleScript, and the website listed in
my signature, and the ReadMe that came with the script6 you downloaded.

Please "Reply To Newsgroup" to reply to this message. Emails will be
ignored.

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X.
It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.

For the barebones on using scripts with Entourage see

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/help/script.html>

First you don't have to write scripts to use AppleScripts.

In the Menu Bar for Entourage, you will see the script icon. Pull down on
the Script icon and you will see the scripts that have been installed with
Entourage. These scripts are found in the Entourage Script Menu Items
located in the Documents/Microsoft User Data Folder:

By default, this menu includes several scripts that you can use to create a
task, note, or other type of item from a message that you select. To run a
script from the script menu, select the script.

You can add scripts. Just drop a script into the Entourage Script Menu Items
folder within the Microsoft User Data folder. You can also add up to sixteen
subfolders inside of the Entourage Script Menu Items folder, if you use a
lot of scripts and want to organize them.
