Scrolling text and/or images

Does anyone know of something that will allow me to insert text and images
into a table or cell within a FP 2002 page, set the number of iterations for
it to play and then stop? I think this can be done with an animated gif but
text doesn't look quite right in that format and the file size becomes
bloated. DHTML would be my preference with a GUI.

Maybe I should have titled this "A Modest Request".

Thanks Rick,

I've looked there and done searches but the key word here is "stop". No
scripts have any automatic way of stopping the effect after it plays one,
two, three or more times. I'm not a programmer and so don't know how to add
any script that might stop the effect.

I get very annoyed at sites I go to where the effect just keeps playing, and
playing, and playing...

Bill:

If you are annoyed by it when it keeps going perhaps some
users are annoyed by it in general.

I would suggest that if there is no compelling reason to
have this effect, even for a brief time, you just go with
good old plain text and images.
