Hi -- trying to program my first FP2003 web component and I'm very confused.
I'm not using FPSE or anything fancy, just FTP.
Referring to the FP2002 SDK I looked at the Initcaps example. I put that
into the _vti_bin directory of my web, recalculated hyperlinks, and inserted
the webcomponent as described in the manual. I chopped out the preview
paramter from the webbot tag so I can monitor what I'm looking at.
In frontpage, it always shows [SmallCaps]. When I upload over FTP it says
[Frontpage SmallCaps Component]. I even tried some programs of my own,
followed the examples, and the ret.Append("Some sample text") doesn't show
up like in the SDK examples..
I dont understand what I'm missing here. The built-in components like
Navigation render properly in frontpage, and when they're uploaded via FTP
they're static. What is the difference, are the built-in functions setting
the preview property maybe?
Thanks for the help.
