Seamlessly merging pictures

I am cutting images of people with Photoshop and bringing them into my Publ
file trying to give the illusion of many people standing side by side. No
matter how I paste them I get a white background that over laps the picture
next to it. I have tried several things such as making transparent and
merging. The only thing that workd is changing the wrap points wich is alot
of work and has already been done in Photoshop. Any suggestions/solutions?

Why can't you do this in Photoshop? It has all the tools you need for stitching.

If you rather not, save your pictures as .png in Photoshop, designate a
transparent background.
There is a transparency tool in Publisher, have you tried it?

As Mary suggests, the format of the cutout is important...
save your Photoshop cutouts in the .gif, .png, or .tif format
and your transparency should be recognized by Publisher.
