Vice Idea
This was asked here before
(http://groups-beta.google.com/group...read/thread/9010b341f978038d/cab7870b65493831)
but there was no response and I have the same problem so I'm hoping
someone knows the answer or workaround.
I have John Doe in my Outlook 2003 Contacts, displayed as "John Doe"
and email "(e-mail address removed)". I have Jane Doe displayed as "Jane
Doe" and email "(e-mail address removed)". I am trying to use the built-in
search folder option:
Mail from People and Lists --> Mail from and to specific people
If I make a search folder to show mail to or from John Doe, I see all
messages I sent where John Doe was on the To: or Cc: line AND I see all
messages sent to me by John Doe. This is what I want.
If I make a search folder to show mail to or from Jane Doe, I see all
messages I sent where Jane Doe was on the To: or Cc: line, but I DON'T
see messages sent to me by Jane Doe (unless she cc-ed herself). Not
what I want.
What could be the reason for this? There are actually a few different
examples of John Doe and Jane Doe in my Contacts that I see this
different behavior for. Is there ANY reliable way in Outlook 2003 to
make a search folder that will show mail From: AND To: a person? This
should be a very commonly used search folder function. I can't find a
way using the advanced search folder options but maybe I'm missing
something obvious.
I can make a search folder to show mail from Jane Doe and that works as
expected. I can make a separate search folder to show mail sent to Jane
Doe and that also works as expected. I want both in the same search
folder so I can sort by date, etc.
Thanks for any help.
