Search is not working. Please help.

I'm new to Entourage but the search is not working.

If I use the search bar on the inbox, that works. But if I use the
search box in the toolbar or any of the saved searches in the sidebar,
nothing shows.

Example: If I go to the Unread saved search and tell Entourage to
search everything and there is nothing unread. However, looking at my
inbox, I have 11.

Why doesn't my search work correctly?

MacBook Pro 10.4.11 and Entourage 2008 (installed last week)

Entourage's search is based on Spotlight. You must have Spotlight enabled
for it to work. Go to your Help menu, select "Entourage Help", and search
for Spotlight. The first topic found is "I don't see my Entourage items in
search results." Check out the reply....

Thanks for the reply. This option was enabled, so I hit the rebuild
button to see if that'd make it work. Here's hoping. :)

I'm having the same problem. "Custom views" seem to work, but no matter what I enter in the search field of the toolbar (like "x") nothing is found.
The "Include Entourage in Spotlight.." preference is set," and I've rebuilt the spotlight index multiple times (or at least I've hit "rebuild"). Also I can't find any emails using spotlight itself. What's up?

I'm running 10.5.1 on a MacPro

I found out I had told Spotlight to not index the Microsoft user data
folder or my library folders. Once I allowed Spotlight in those,
everything worked fine in Entourage.
