Hi

after a migration of Outlook 2003 a lot of my contacts have got invalid
phone-numbers starting with "49" instead of "+49" or "0049"

Is there a way or tool to do a search & replace or substitute them`?

Hi Ragnar

Try our Find & Replace utility which allows you to search for and replace
text in your Contacts, Emails, Appointments, Notes and Tasks.
http://www.lbetoolbox.com/findreplace.htm

Of course, with any search/replace, you will need to be sure that you are
finding the right occurrences. In your example, set our Find & Replace to
search for "49" in Contacts, then look at the Search results, click the
column header "Text" to sort by that column, this will place all contacts
with "49" at the start of the tel number first, you can then highlight that
block and click the Replace button to replace the text in just the selected
items.

Thank you, John,
for your recommendation. Although I was looking for a free solution, it
looks really interesting indeed
