Search result links contain wrong url

I have a search page in my intranet. When the results
page is generated, it returns a path that does not
exist. Here is what it does. When the url should
be "HTTP://hd/vendorcontactlist.htm", it
returns "HTTP://hd/mainsite/vendorcontactlist.htm". This
path is the name of the shared folder that contains the
web site, but should not be part of the search result
url. How do I get it to return the correct link?
