Secured Web - email form

Kathy Mathew

I've imported a web site into FrontPage and everything is
working except for one thing. There is an order form on
this site that when the customer submits the order form
along with their credit card information, somehow the
email that shows up to the merchant inbox has the credit
card info xxx'd out.

The merchant then accesses another url (secured site)
where she types in the order number on the original email
and presses "Go" and the completed order form shows up
WITH the credit card information. She then goes through
the regular merchant account process via another system
with her bank.

I'm trying to find out what this process is and if anyone
knows how to set it up.

Any help would be greatly appreciate!

Just whose site did you import?

You'll need to contact and discuss it with the company who created the form
and the processing procedure, ask them how to do the programming for the
site, and most likely purchase the appropriate elements and subscribe to
certain services in order to make it work.

That form could probably be going to a totally different
server than where your web site is to generate the email
and store the credit card info. Whichever server, this
sort of thing is done by programming and is not something
that can be done in frontpage alone. You need to look at
the form properties and see where the form is being
submitted to.
